  • How soon should I book my transportation for a wedding, special event, etc.?

To ensure you have the widest selection of vehicles, book your transportation as soon as your event date is confirmed. Some dates are reserved far in advance, so early booking is essential.

  • Should I visit the companies I am looking to do business with?

Yes, we recommend visiting any company you're considering for the first time. This allows you to inspect the cars and coaches yourself to ensure they are clean and well-maintained. Always ask, "Is this the vehicle I will be getting?"

We welcome visitors at Shima Limousine, 7555 Tyler Boulevard, Suite 12 in Mentor, OH. On our vehicle page, you can also view our limos, coaches, and cars. Contact Shima Limousine today to learn more.

  • How do I know if the company I am contemplating doing business with is livery licensed and their coaches have passed the required state inspection?

When visiting a potential company, check the license plates on their cars and limousines for a "livery veh." decal. Coaches should display a decal on each side stating, "This bus has passed inspection by the Ohio State Highway Patrol."

  • Should my decision to rent a vehicle be based entirely on rate?

No. Rates can vary based on factors such as the vehicle's year, manufacturer, and passenger capacity, as well as the company's insurance coverage and additional services. Visiting the limousine companies allows you to see the vehicles, verify insurance coverage, and get a detailed rate breakdown.

At Shima Limousine, our insurance coverage far exceeds the state minimum.

  • How do I determine if a ground transportation company car can properly take care of me at the airport?

Ask if the company is livery licensed, the types of vehicles they operate, and if they have current parking passes for the airport's limousine lot.

  • How important is the driver?

Very important. Inquire about the driver's training, background and drug testing, insurance, and license checks. Confirm that the drivers are employees of the company and not independent contractors.

At Shima Limousine, our professionally trained chauffeurs are company employees. We conduct drug and alcohol screenings, and our drivers hold all necessary licenses for their vehicles and passengers. For more information, please get in touch with us. We look forward to providing peace of mind for your transportation needs.
